Engine 7 is the work horse of the Summerville Volunteer Firemen's Association. A 1995 Spartan/Darley, it carries 750 gallons of water and has a 1500 gallon per minute Darley pump. It is set up for initial fire attack with 5 SCBA, a Thermal Imaging Camera, and ventilation equipment. It is also equipped for vehicle rescue with a powered hydraulic tool, air bags, air chisel, and sawzall. It also has a small amount of equipment to handle Hazardous Materials incidents and Vertical Rescues. Click to Enlarge Tanker 7 is a 1990 Mack/Ward 79 Pumper-Tanker. It's primary function is to supply water for the fire attack. It carries 2000 gallons of water, 1200 feet of 5 inch supply hose, and has a 1500 gallon per minute hale pump. Click to Enlarge Brush 7 is our newest piece of equipment. It is a 2001 Ford F-350 Super Crew Cab with a 150 gallon tank. It is set up to fight brush and forest fires, and to carry extra manpower to other calls. It carries 2 SCBA and has a 9000 pound Warn Winch. Click to Enlarge ATV 7 was purchased to compliment Brush 7. With the larger Ford Chassis, we were finding that it was difficult to get into heavier woods for rescues and forest fires. ATV 7 can be towed on it's trailer to the scene by Brush 7 or by Association member's personal vehicles. It can either haul a crew of 4, or a crew of 2 with a patient immobolized on a back board. Plans for the future include equipping it with a small tank and pump.
